At opening of the competition, the qatarien organizer was logically beaten by an attractive team of Uzbekistan ( 0-2 ). The selection of Central Asia shares the head of the group with China which suffered to beat a team of Kuwait reduced to ten ( 2-0 ).

Group B: a double surprise

Japan widely dominated Jordan but has of to fight for tearing away the draw at any end of match in front of a catchy and solid team ( 1-1 ).
